Season Finale

General Iroh, grandson of the now retired Fire Lord Zuko,[4] joins in the war against the Equalists.[5] Meanwhile the new Team Avatar is hiding in an alley where benders and non-benders seem to coexist harmoniously. Korra finally decides to take on Amon. She finds out that Amon is Tarrlok's older brother, and also a bloodbender. Amon succeeds in taking Korra's bending, except for air, because Korra had not yet unlocked the fourth element. Aang and all the other past Avatars appear to Korra when she unlocks her spirituality. Korra regains her bending through them and is given the ability to heal Amon's victims and restore their bending as well.

Episode 11: Skeletons in the Closet

Skeletons in the closet usually means there is a long and forgotten secret being held so they're going to be giving us a real juicy episode!
A relative of retired Fire Lord Zuko joins in. His name is Iroh and as of now is unknown to be able to bend or even if he is a cousin or brother something like that.... Maybe Azula's child! o.O

Amon and Energybending.

He is probably blocking the charkas.... because to energybend someone, your soul must be stronger than the other's. I think Lin Beifong has a stronger soul since she sacrificed herself to save the remaining Airbenders and Amon has been doing evil so if he was really energybending he would have corrypted his soul a long time ago also Amon can't bend any of the elements so there is no energy within him to be able to overtake someone elses sould with.

Episode 10: Turning the Tides

Korra works to recover from her time spent imprisoned by Tarrlok, but when she is interrupted by Republic City coming under attack from Equalists, she is forced to take action against the evil group and their mysterious leader Amon.

Also she runs off into hiding, Amon takes away Lin's bending after she protects the remaining family of airbenders to leave the island on Oogi their flying bison and newly born son.

Episode 9: Out of the Past

Tarrlok hides Korra in a remote mountain cabin, publicly claiming that Equalists abducted her. In response, Lin Beifong breaks Korra's friends out of jail and, with Tenzin, they infiltrate the Equalist hideout, only finding Lin's de-bended police officers. After escaping the Equalists and realizing the truth, the group confronts Tarrlok before his aide confirms their notion while revealing that he is a Bloodbender, forcing Tarrlok to escape to his cabin. There, locked in a platinium box, Korra has been meditating to gain a more complete vision of Aang's past: Forty-two years ago, a mobster named Yakone was brought to court on charges of Bloodbending his victims, able to perform the technique without reliance on a full moon. Found guilty, Yakone bloodbends the court into submission before attempting to escape, only for Aang to recapture him and remove his bending. Upon returning to his cabin, Tarrlok confirms Korra's deduction that he is Yakone's son and had attempted to rule Republic City from a political standpoint. But with his scheme ruined, Tarrlok is preparing to leave town to start fresh somewhere else with Korra as his hostage. However, the Equalists arrive at the cabin and Tarrlok's bloodbending proves ineffective against Amon. After removing a horrified Tarrlok's bending, Amon knocks him out to be placed in a truck while having his men get Korra. But Korra barely escapes the Equalists, losing consciousness in the woods as she is found by Naga and carried back to Republic City where her friends find her.

Episode 8: When Extremes Meet

At his induction as Beifong's replacement, Chief Saikhan, vows to support Tarrlok's task force. Korra clashes with Tarrlok, refusing to re-join his "vanity project". As she expresses frustration with her inability to airbend, Tenzin asks her to try to obtain help from her past lives by meditating on brief visions of Aang she had during her stay in Republic City. Asami, Mako, Bolin, and Korra patrol the city and succeed in capturing escaping Equalists, to Tarrlok's disapproval. Soon after Tarrlok has a law passed that places all non-benders under a curfew, Korra tries to free unarmed civilians captured by police for protesting against having their power cut, Tarrlok arrests her friends to stop her. Confronting him in his office, Korra refuses to comply with his wishes to secure her friends' release, and after she compares him to Amon, Tarrlok attacks her. As she is about to win the fight after wrecking much of City Hall, he subdues her by revealing he's a bloodbender able to use his ability without a full moon, and leaves the city with the captive Avatar.

Episode 7: The Aftermath

Tarrlok calls for Lin Beifong's dismissal as chief of police after Amon's attack on the pro-bending arena. Mako and Bolin move into the Sato mansion. While visiting them, Korra overhears a phone call and suspects that Hiroshi Sato is colluding with the Equalists. She informs Chief Beifong and Tenzin, who launch an investigation but find no evidence. A mysterious source tells Korra that Sato has a secret factory under his mansion used to manufacture weapons for the Equalists. When Korra, Tenzin, and Beifong discover the secret factory, they are attacked by Equalists using mecha-like combat robots built by Sato. Beifong's metalbending police are captured and taken to Amon, but Mako, Bolin, and Asami arrive in time to rescue Korra, Tenzin, and Beifong. Beifong intends to resign her post and to rescue her officers "outside of the law", and Korra offers Mako, Bolin, and Asami residency on Tenzin's Air Temple Island.

Episode 6: And the Winner is...

Amon threatens to attack the pro-bending arena if the Council does not cancel the championship. Although they initially vote to do so, Chief Lin Beifong convinces Tarrlok otherwise by offering to take responsibility for the safety of the stadium. Despite tensions resulting from a prior relationship, Tenzin and Lin agree to cooperate to protect the stadium. During the finals, the Wolfbats, who apparently bribed the referees defeat the Fire Ferrets using foul play. When the match is over, the Equalists neutralize Chief Beifong's metalbenders using electric gloves. In a public demonstration of power, Amon strips the Wolfbats of their bending abilities and wrecks the stadium before escaping.

Episode 5: The Spirit of Competition

Mako dates Hiroshi's daughter Asami, which causes tension within the Fire Ferrets, as Korra has feelings for Mako. When she confesses her love to Mako, he refuses her, and she goes on a date with Bolin. Although they have a good time, Korra kisses Mako after their next match. Bolin sees this and is heartbroken. By the end of the episode, the Fire Ferrets sort out their problems and advance to the pro-bending championship match against the three-time defending champions, the Wolfbats.

Episode 4: The Voice in the Night

Republic City Councilman Tarrlok creates a task force to capture Amon. He eventually recruits Korra, who is initially reluctant due to her fear of Amon. Meanwhile, Mako develops a romantic relationship with Asami Sato, the daughter of the wealthy industrialist Hiroshi Sato, who owns Future Industries. He agrees to sponsor the Fire Ferrets so they can continue to play in the competition. After some success in the task force, Korra publicly challenges Amon to a duel, but she is ambushed and restrained by Equalists. Amon does not hurt her, explaining that if he removed her bending she would become a martyr for benders to rally behind.

Episode 3: The Revelation

Trying to collect money for their pro-bending fees, Bolin is recruited by the Triple Threat Triads and disappears. Searching for him, Mako and Korra discover that Bolin and his new associates have been abducted by the Equalists. At an Equalist rally they visit in disguise, Amon demonstrates his ability to permanently take away the bending powers of the captive gangsters. Mako and Korra rescue Bolin before Amon can do the same to him.

Episode 2: A Leaf in Wind

Frustrated with her inability to bend air, Korra visits Republic City's pro-bending arena against Tenzin's wishes. There, she meets Bolin and Mako, two brothers on the "Fire Ferrets" pro-bending team. She joins their team to play in a match after their waterbender teammate quits. Korra initially suffers due to her inexperience, but helps win the match by using airbending movements. Tenzin, impressed, allows Korra to stay on the team.

Amon Speculations

These are my reasons why no one that we know in the Avatar universe can be Amon:

Before we get into my list I bet we can all cross out the fact of Amon being a girl, a bender of the four native elements or any character in team avatar or enemies of. We can conclude that Amon lived on a farm in the Earth Kingdom so he can't be native to the air nomads or the water tribe. (A look at his eye will show you the pale skin next to it.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CHEkRG1ASA&feature=relmfu There is a link with the picture. So lets start with the list. Even though I stated it couldn't have been certain people I will still put them down and put a good reason. So lets start! :::::

Avatar Aang: First of all Amon would have the tattoos on his arm and hands, also he had blue/brown eyes not yellowish brown like Amons. He has bending abilities and would not hurt innocent lives. Also Aang has been pronounced dead by the reincarnation of the Avatar spirit AS A WHOLE into Korra, Katara stated he has passed, Tenzin and many others also. So it's certain that Aang is not Amon, also they have diffrent names...

Katara: Is native to the water tribe, a girl and has a bending ability. To elderly to perform the tasks of Amon and is waaay to nice to to such things.

Sokka: Was pronounced dead by Katara and would be to old. Also is native to the water tribe.

Toph: Is a girl, can bend and her parents were never killed by firebenders, also she lived in a estate and not a farm. Is dead and has a daugther: Lin Beifong.

Bumi (Aang+Katara's son): He is a non-bender but was not native to the Earth Kingdom and his parents were not killed by a firebender, also he is very old like (50-70).

Kya (Aang and Katara's daughter): She is a waterbender and is the same age as Bumi (Roughly) also she has 1 live parent and has none killed by firebenders.

Tenzin (Another one of Aang's sons): Yes, Tenzin can be in two places at once, like a boss.

So in conclusion Amon=Amon a new character who will be awesome or he is the Cabbage guy!

A little Spiritual Journey

I find that in the show the most spiritually in-tune characters are, Aang, any Avatar that is, Iroh and Guru Patik also the Swamp Waterbenders.

Specialized Bending

Yes, I'm aware this is from the wiki and all credit goes to them but its some pretty cool information.

Waterbending Edit

Water is the most versatile of the four bending elements, for allowing any of the three states of matter: liquid, solid, or gas. Given these unique traits, there are several special abilities that a waterbending master can learn.

Bloodbending Edit

Main article: Bloodbending
Hama discovering bloodbending in her prison cell.
Bloodbending was introduced by the Southern waterbender, Hama.[1] Since the human body is roughly 70% water, bloodbending does not necessarily bend blood, but the fluids in one's body, allowing the user to manipulate a body's muscles to move as they wish or to stop movement completely. Potentially, a bloodbender could stop a victim's heart or crush his or her internal organs, pressurize, boil or cool the fluids, or even completely extract the fluids from one's body imitating the technique used with plants, though this has not been stated. Prior to Yakone's actions, bloodbending was thought to only be able to be performed at night during the full moon. There are only four known waterbenders that can perform this technique, being Hama, Katara, albeit reluctantly, Yakone, and his son, Tarrlok.[2][3]

Plantbending Edit

Huu bending vines to create his plant monster disguise.
A member of the Foggy Swamp TribeHuu, has illustrated that talented waterbenders can manipulate plant life—from the highly water-saturated vines and roots found within the swamp lands and seaweed from the ocean floor—they can even rapidly regenerate the plant mass of the plants they bend, since the cell tissues of a plant is more versatile than the cell tissues of an animal, all by bending the ample amount of water within them just as they can with watery mud,[4] as Hama demonstrated with fire lilies. Going further, a skilled waterbender is able to separate and completely extract the water from plants for more effective utilization just as they are able to separate the water from mud, sand, and even polluted river systems, etc. In the case of plant life, this process will then leave behind the withered remains of all the affected plant life or even making them collapse in the case of large trees.[1]

Healing Edit

Main article: Healing
Katara discovering her healingabilities.
Waterbenders also have the unique ability to heal themselves and others. They do this by drawing on the life-giving properties of water to heal many types of physical wounds, some illnesses, and even pain caused by mental stress. However, there are limits to what can be healed. For example, Katara's healing could not heal the internal injuries done to Jet byLong Feng,[5] Yue's birth illness could not be cured by healers,[6] andZuko's scar would be unaffected by healing. It is also apparent that Katara cannot heal a bender whose chi has been blocked as shown when she was unable to heal the Terra Team.[7] Water from the Spirit Oasis, however, has special properties and can heal wounds that regular water cannot, such as Aang's near fatal lightning wounds obtained during a duel with Azula.[8] A healer can detect where chi flow is blocked, as displayed when Katara could feel the energy locked within Aang's chakra during a healing session.[9] Avatars are also capable of this art, as Korra healed Bolin's shoulder following a pro-bending match.[10]

Earthbending Edit

Metalbending Edit

Main article: Metalbending
Toph discovering metalbending.
Metalbending is a special subset of techniques within earthbending that allows an earthbender to ferrokinetically bend processed metals much as they would bend regular earth. The ability was discovered by Toph Beifongwhile she was confined in a metal box.[11] At of the end of the Hundred Year War, Toph remained the only known individual capable of metalbending, though she ended up traveling the world to teach this skill.
During a lecture on chakrasGuru Pathik explained to Aang that metal is merely earth that has been purified and refined. Using her ability to "see" through earthbending, Toph was able to perceive the trace amount of earth still present in the metal, target it, and utilize it to bend the metal itself.[11]

Seismic sense Edit

Main article: Seismic sense
Toph detecting vibrations through the ground.
Seismic sense is the ability to perceive objects' locations by feeling acute vibrations through the ground. Similar in application to sonar and echolocation, seismic sense enables the practitioner to visualize earth-based objects or objects in contact with earth-based objects when out of sight or, in Toph's case, unable to be seen due to blindness.[12]
Only three human benders were known to have possessed seismic sense: Toph Beifong, Avatar Aang, and Lin BeifongBadgermoles, the primal earthbenders, use seismic sense as an innate substitute for eyesight.[13]

Sandbending Edit

Sandbenders propelling their Sand-sailers.
Sandbending is a form of earthbending where the particles of sand are manipulated. The sandbenders adapted the technique to survive within theSi Wong Desert. Most earthbenders would have an ability to bend sand, but because of the loose nature of sand and the similarity of the art to water and airbending, most earthbenders show an inability to adjust. Toph mastered sandbending, even to the point of nonchalantly creating a detailed model sand-sculpture of Ba Sing Se right down to a scaled version of the Earth King and Bosco.[14]

Firebending Edit

Lightning generation Edit

Main article: Lightning generation
Azula generating lightning to attackKatara.
Lightning generation is a sub-technique of firebending, with which firebenders are able to produce and guide a bolt of lightning from their fingertips. The generation of lightning was first shown by Princess Azula while she was being overseen by Lo and Li.[15] Generating lightning involves a circular motion with the arms. Mentally, it involves a complete absence of emotion and peace of mind, and physically it requires separating the energies of yin and yang, the spiritual interpretation of positive and negative electric charge. When the forces collide, the bender only guides, rather than controls, the lightning's direction.[16] Because of this complexity, a lightning attack usually takes much longer to initiate than standard fire attacks, however Ozai was shown generating lightning very quickly when he attacked Zuko. Before the end of the Hundred Year War, only three firebenders were known to generate lighting; Azula, Ozai, and Iroh.[17] However, the technique had become more widespread by the time Korra arrived at Republic City.

Lightning redirection Edit

Main article: Lightning redirection
Zuko redirects Ozai's lightning.
Lightning redirection is a sub-technique of firebending, allowing a firebender to absorb lightning into their body as energy, then release the lightning in a more desirable direction. The technique was developed by Iroh after he studied master waterbenders, who redirect force rather than oppose it head-on.[16] Lightning redirection works equally well for natural and generated lightning. Iroh taught the technique to Zuko, who in turn taught it to Aang. Zuko redirected lightning multiple times in the series, as did Iroh. Aang only used this technique during his battle against Ozai.

Combustion Edit

Main article: Combustion
Combustion Man firebending.
Combustion Man had a unique ability to channel his chi through his extremely overdeveloped third-eye mark in order to create a beam of energy by superheating the air around him. The beam explodes on contact, and is capable of great destruction, both in short and long range. Unlike normal firebending, this does not produce a flame directly from the body.[18] Good chi flow and a properly calibrated focus around his third-eye mark is essential for this technique to be effective, as disrupting it can have fatal consequences for the user, as shown when Sokka hit his eye with a boomerang. Despite superheating the air, it does not appear to harm its user, unless the explosion occurs in the immediate vicinity. It can instantaneously evaporate large bodies of water with ease. It is possible to counter fire attacks, such as when Combustion Man stopped Zuko's fire shield during their brief duel at the Western Air Temple.[19]

Other techniques Edit

Cloudbending Edit

A skilled waterbender or airbender can easily manipulate clouds, which are made of air and water, to create various shapes. In one particular instance, cloudshaping was used to provide a message to nearby villagers of an erupting volcano.[20] It was later used as a defense by Aang and his friends to disguise their flights on Appa while moving about the Fire Nation.[21] A waterbender can perform this technique without an airbender, as demonstrated when the invasion force used it for cover to approach the Fire Nation mainland unseen on Day of Black Sun,[22] as well as by Korra when she manipulated steam.[23]

Lavabending Edit

An unnamed fire Avatar lavabending.
There were not many displays of lavabending during the series, but it has been revealed that the technique is a combination of earthbending and firebending.[24] This feat of power has only been displayed by Avatars. The first known user of this technique was the unnamed fire Avatar, who used it to make four volcanoes simultaneously erupt.[15] Later, Avatars Kyoshi andRoku also utilized this technique to split Kyoshi peninsula from the mainland[25] and to destroy the Fire Temple during the winter solstice,[26]respectively.
